Creatology Pastel Craft Value Pack

Bendy stems, pom poms, craft fluff and wiggle eyes — the soft handful that turns a flat sheet of paper into a creature with a personality. There are 16 Creatology kids craft supplies on this shelf.
Nothing on the table gets grabbed faster than the fuzzy drawer. Chenille stems bend, hold a shape and bend again without snapping, so a caterpillar can become a crown and then a pair of antennae before snack time is over. Pom poms give kids volume with no drying time, and a pack of wiggle eyes turns anything at all into a face.
We keep these in bulk counts because they vanish in bulk. A single afternoon of crafts with three children will eat a hundred stems and nobody will remember where they went. Buying the big box once a term is calmer than hunting for a dozen at a time.

Age is the first thing to read on the pack. Pom poms under an inch and loose wiggle eyes are small parts, so for children under three the larger two-inch pom poms are the honest choice. Quality here is mostly about the wire: a good chenille stem bends at the same spot twice without the core poking through the fluff, and the cheap ones shed color onto damp hands.
These are supplies for making rather than for drawing, and that is the point of the shelf. A child who has lost interest in a sheet of paper will often keep going for another half hour once the art becomes three-dimensional, and the fun of it is that nothing needs to dry. Keep the colors in one flat tray rather than a deep tub; loose fuzzy materials are only organized while you can see them.
Other shelves
Sheets, shapes, adhesive backs and glitter finishes. Foam cuts with blunt scissors, never frays and forgives a wobbly line.
Felt sheets by the ream, glitter felt, pre-cut leaves, looper bags and the loom that turns them into a potholder.
Poster board, artboard, tissue squares, corrugated plastic and canvas panels — every flat surface a project can start on.
